Case study
Adapting to COVID-19
In early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, forcing schools across Nigeria to close and leaving millions of students without access to education. The challenge was immense, but Afrilearn rose to the occasion. Within weeks, we launched ClassNotes.ng, a free e-learning platform designed to ensure that students could continue their education from home.
The instant viral response was overwhelming. By providing comprehensive educational resources online, ClassNotes.ng reached over 237,601 learners in a matter of months. Parents and educators praised the platform for its ease of use and the quality of its content. Since then, ClassNotes.ng has remained the most visited basic education platform in Nigeria.
Our future goals
At Afrilearn, we aim to expand our reach to 100 million students by 2027, enhance our AI capabilities for even more personalised learning experiences, develop more culturally relevant and engaging content, and increase our impact on equality in education.
